Dr. Bob Bray is an orthopaedic surgeon in Calgary, Alberta, whose practice is focused on endoscopic soft-tissue knee surgery — minimally invasive, keyhole treatment of the meniscus, ligaments and cartilage of the knee. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Calgary and a Royal College–sponsored McLaughlin Fellowship in minimally invasive endoscopic knee reconstruction in Cambridge, England and London, Ontario, followed by a knee biomechanics fellowship and a research Master of Science in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Bray is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Surgery at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, where he led laboratory research into ligament healing and articular vascular physiology for 25 years. His published work includes studies of blood supply in normal and healing ligament and of collagen structure in ligament repair, and he has served as President of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association Research Society.
Dr. Bray sees and treats private patients at an accredited non-hospital surgical facility in Calgary, supported by an experienced surgical and nursing team focused on patient safety, recovery and a personalized surgical experience.
