Dr. Joan Wheat Hozack is a general orthopaedic surgeon practicing publicly in Lloydminster AB/SK. Her private practice is located in Vancouver BC. She completed her medical degree at the University of Calgary, followed by an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Calgary. She then undertook an additional year of advanced fellowship training in Christchurch, New Zealand, gaining extensive experience in trauma surgery, joint replacement (arthroplasty), sports knee surgery, and hand and wrist conditions.

Dr. Wheat Hozack practices general orthopaedic surgery across a broad range of conditions, with the exception of spine surgery and orthopaedic oncology. Her current clinical practice focuses primarily on trauma care, hip and knee arthroplasty, and sports-related knee surgery, with a smaller component of hand and wrist surgery and elective paediatric orthopaedic care.

Dr. Wheat Hozack offers the following procedures in her private practice:

  • Total hip and knee replacement
  • Partial knee replacement
  • Arthroscopic knee procedures (including ACL/knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus and cartilage related procedures, patella stabilization surgery)
  • Arthroscopic shoulder procedures (rotator cuff repair and related procedures)
  • Hand and wrist related procedures
