About

Dr. Keith Neufeld is an orthopedic surgeon certified in orthopedic surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, with fellowship training in primary and revision lower extremity joint reconstruction. His practice is focused on hip and knee replacement, including revision surgery for patients whose previous joint replacement is causing problems.

Clinical Focus & Specialties

  • Hip: Primary total hip replacement and revision hip replacement.
  • Knee: Primary total knee replacement and revision knee replacement.
  • Complex reconstruction: Hip and knee joint reconstruction, including cases involving bone loss, implant loosening, or previous surgery.

Dr. Neufeld completed his medical degree at the University of British Columbia in 2011 and his orthopedic surgery residency at Dalhousie University in 2016, followed by a fellowship in primary and revision lower extremity joint reconstruction at the University of Calgary. He is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of British Columbia.

In his hospital practice in British Columbia, Dr. Neufeld performs hip replacement using the direct anterior approach, a muscle-sparing technique, and Fraser Health has identified him as the first surgeon in the health authority to offer hip replacement as same-day-discharge surgery.

Dr. Neufeld sees private patients at Acumen Clinic in Calgary, with consultations available by video or in person and surgery performed at a private, non-hospital surgical centre. No referral is required.

Dr. Neufeld was born and raised in the Fraser Valley. In his free time he enjoys golfing, boating, renovating and spending time with friends and family.
