Dr. Don Dick is an orthopaedic surgeon in Edmonton, Alberta, certified in orthopaedic surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He completed both his medical degree and his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Alberta. His surgical practice focuses on hip and knee replacement for adults with osteoarthritis, and he has spent much of his career on how joint replacement care is organized and delivered across Alberta.
Alongside his surgical practice, Dr. Dick has held leadership roles in bone and joint health at the local, provincial and national level. He is a founding member of the Alberta Bone & Joint Health Institute and chairs its board, is a past president of the Alberta Orthopaedic Society, and is a past member of the board of directors of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association. He is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta. He also serves as Medical Director of the Canadian Association of Medical Teams Abroad, which sends volunteer surgical teams to treat patients in Ecuador.
