Dr. Aleks Cenic is a neurosurgeon in Ontario with a practice focused on the spine, and fellowship training in spine surgery at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Cenic completed a Bachelor of Science in medical physics at McMaster University and a Master of Science in medical biophysics at the University of Western Ontario, then his medical degree and his neurosurgery residency at McMaster University. He completed a spine fellowship at the University of Calgary in 2009 and a peripheral nerve fellowship there in 2010, and worked as a staff neuro-spine surgeon in Calgary before returning to Hamilton in 2011. He is certified in neurosurgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
He is an Associate Professor at McMaster University, teaches in the neurosurgery residency program, and founded and co-directs the spine fellowship there.
