Dr. Indraneel Datta is a general surgeon in Calgary, Alberta with fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Calgary in 2004 and general surgery residency at the University of Calgary in 2009. He completed a Master of Science in Health Economics, Policy and Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science and fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Toronto.
He was the Director for the General Surgery Residency Program at the University of Calgary until 2020. He was most recently Director of Workforce Strategy for the Department of Surgery, Alberta Health Services. His research has been funded by the Canadian Thoracic Surgery Society, Canadian Association of General Surgeons, and the Alberta Health Innovates PRIHS ERAS grant in the past.
