About

Dr. Navraj Heran is a Vancouver–based neurosurgeon with an active hospital practice at Royal Columbian Hospital and Eagle Ridge Hospital. He specializes in minimally invasive techniques and is one of the only neurosurgeons in the lower mainland trained and actively practicing in endovascular neurosurgery.

His clinical practice focuses on cerebrovascular, spinal, and oncologic neurosurgery, including common outpatient spine procedures such as

  • lumbar and cervical discectomy and arthroplasty
  • dynamic stabilization
  • spinal fusion
  • kyphoplasty for osteoporotic or neoplastic compression fractures

Dr. Heran is one of the only surgical Tarlov cyst experts in Canada and has the largest dynamic stabilization practice in Canada using DIAM or Intraspine devices. He has particular expertise in cervical disc arthroplasty (artificial disc replacement), including hybrid constructs combined with fusion.
