Dr. Halayko was among the first surgeons in the US to perform minimally invasive (MIS or MICA) bunion correction and has since completed hundreds of these procedures. He additionally performs Lapidus (sometimes called Lapiplasty) bunionectomy, along with other common foot surgeries including joint fusions, hammertoe correction, metatarsal surgery, neuroma resection/release and plantar fascia surgery using minimally invasive techniques.
A resident of Vancouver, Dr. Halayko embraces the active lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest. He was a Division I collegiate athlete competing in men's lacrosse at the University of Maryland, and maintains a huge interest in sports including basketball, football, soccer, and golf. His wife and three children can attest he is an aspiring home chef and a coffee enthusiast.
