Dr. Yotis Tsaparas is a Canadian Board Certified otolaryngology – head and neck surgeon based in Greater Vancouver, with a general ENT practice and a longstanding sub-interest in disorders of the nose and paranasal sinuses, snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, and benign and malignant lesions of the face, neck, and throat. He completed his undergraduate training in microbiology at the University of British Columbia, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Calgary in 2000, and returned to UBC for his five-year residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, completing training in 2005. He has practised in the Lower Mainland for two decades, treating both adult and pediatric patients, and is a Clinical Instructor with the UBC Faculty of Medicine and an active member of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.
Dr. Tsaparas is originally from Burnaby, British Columbia. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Tsaparas sees private patients through Surgency at Still Creek Surgical Centre in Burnaby, a CPSBC-accredited non-hospital medical and surgical facility, with experienced surgical and nursing teams focused on patient safety, recovery, and a personalized surgical experience. His public clinical practice is based at Royal Columbian Hospital and Burnaby General Hospital through Fraser Health.
