About

Priority MRI is a private medical imaging centre in Richmond, British Columbia, offering 3 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for patients across the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and Vancouver. The centre provides diagnostic MRI, contrast-enhanced MRI, MRI health screening, and imaging for personal injury and legal claims, with appointment availability designed to reduce time spent waiting for a scan.

Imaging Services

  • Diagnostic MRI: Detailed magnetic resonance imaging of bones and joints, the head, neck, and spine, the abdomen and pelvis, and the body's blood vessels, used to support diagnosis by a referring physician.
  • Contrast-Enhanced MRI: MRI performed with a gadolinium-based contrast agent for indications such as suspected infection, tumour characterization, or post-surgical assessment.
  • MRI Health Screening: Targeted MRI scans intended to support early detection of selected health conditions, ordered in coordination with a patient's physician.
  • Personal Injury & Litigation MRI: Imaging services arranged for accident-related claims, occupational injury cases, and medical-legal assessments, including coordination with WorkSafeBC and legal representatives.

Priority MRI uses a 3 Tesla MRI scanner, a higher field-strength platform than the 1.5 Tesla scanners commonly found in many community settings. Higher field strength can support more detailed visualization of small anatomical structures, vascular imaging without contrast in selected indications, and prostate imaging without an endorectal coil. The clinic operates from a single Richmond location near the Highway 99 / Steveston corridor, with weekday daytime hours and limited evening or weekend availability by advance arrangement.

Priority MRI's clientele includes patients referred by their family doctor or specialist, individuals seeking timely scans on a self-pay basis, employers supporting injured workers, and legal professionals coordinating accident-claim imaging. The centre is open to patients across British Columbia and reports turnaround times for scans and reports that are intended to support faster downstream decisions by the referring physician.
